Instead I followed the advice of another member . He told me this:” I first started to 100”, after some months, I found it to be too small, then I went with 120”, another year and its still looks small, now I have plans for 150”.
He said the screen, looks smaller and smaller as years pass by… , so he said go for max possible, don’t worry about any upgrades along the way
So I took his advice, took a leap of faith and went with 135”. No turning back, at this distance, the eyes are used to it now . It sort of auto adjust over time
Audio is but only part of the cinematic experience…big screen, big sound is the way to go. Alas my 106" screen can’t compare to yours because I am limited by my batcave. I can’t bring myself to setup a projector screen in the living room since I will have a hard time controlling the ambient lights. My house is “west-facing”, meaning my place (or rather living room) is always “brightly-lit” 365 days. I have to use a dedicated room and the compromise is no bigger than 120" (if I really want to push it).
I agreed, go as big as your viewing distance allowed but observe the eye and neck strain if you sit too close to the screen.
I remember laying the screen out on the floor and attaching the frame and getting all tensioned up with you so long ago now…that was some massive screen area I thought then. Props to you for going big. I’m gradually pushing my luck to get a 4K nod approval. Fingers x.
Bro, you will get used to it. Also, you can’t see the cloth or speakers when you are watching movies, I believe the environment should be almost pitch dark or very dim.
Thanks for hosting us for a demo session. Very very nice and had a good time listening to a very well calibrated setup. All the time spent and hardwork is paying off.
