Only the first n out of factory firmware keeps the option of “Full Preamplifier Out mode”
Aiyah… Dunno how long Denon gonna bring out a patched firmware update…
The Denon really gets super hot when u can’t set it to “Preamplifier mode”

Cash, on the latest firmware, although I can’t set preamplifier mode using the remote control, it works using the Denon App

i dunno if it will work, as sadly i am running on a full Android eco system.
the Apple app might be “better” with more customization…
just dont want to reflash the whole soc again as it might not recover after i have reflashed it a total of 3 times already.
hopefully some bro’s with a Android hp can see if it work’s and report back.

borrowed my neighbors ipad n installed the denon avr app… updated the denon X3800H to the latest firmare available, and once again, No success with getting back the Preamplifier Mode to show up with the denon physical remote control. then i connected the ipad to the network, and the Preamplifier Mode was there in the ipad app…(weird!!)
went ahead n used to physical denon remote to check if the Preamplifier Mode was showing up in the gui, but it showed “11.1”… not Preamplifier as shown in the ipad!!
and worst still, is all my settings via audessy was GONE!!
Aiyah!!! Denon really not doing anything about this anomaly…
very irritated with denon now… Massimo also is really useless…
i put in a comment about this problem in their youtube channel, but not even a reply from them, only another regular user chipped in to say he also presumably has the same issue but denon does not want to acknowledge it … Rubbish company!!!

Sorry to get you into this pickle with you Audyssey settings. I tried this morning and using the app to turn preamplifier mode on definitely seems to turn off the amps in the set. So it is working with the latest firmware and the app, but not the GUI

At long last!! the latest March firmware update is out!! it has the “Direc options in it” plus the “Full Preamplifier Mode” is back!!

its kinda weird that the "first 4 numbers are “5000”
the initial factory firmware is “5300” n GundamUnicorn’s firmware is “5900”
Now with the latest firmware its numbered as “5000”
