ive tried it but didnt like the end result.
only when i raise the offset in the source to 4 i can enjoy from the sound
Hmmm.
Can check how do you get your measurements?
- Using Rew or just laser measurements.
- Is best to have a dual sub or 4 subs.
Iām a happy user of MP-50 with 8 subs
Offset as in which?
The calibration I performed is my first.
I measured the distances using a laser rangefinder.
I wish I had room for four subs.
If possible, you may wanna use rew. Any experience of using it?
May try to fit another one more sub
I have no experience with REW.
I wish I had room for another subwoofer.
Did you look at the screenshot I sent?
No worries. We shall make do with what you have.
Iām not sure if you are facing any nulls on what you are experiencing. Itās hard for me to give you a definite answer from not seeing the graph.
Maybe I need to recalibrate.
What is the correct measurement for calculating the subwoofer distance?
I have the subwoofer in the right corner.
what is this offset value?
Iāve never used this option of offset before. I play with only voicing to achieve what I really want.
What I used it acoustic time reference from Rew. Itās how anthem arc is doing. Use my nearest speakers as 0 cm/m and taking measurements(delay) of all my speakers.
what is the best method to do a proper room-perfect calibration?
Is there no article on the walk through or video guide in the YouTube?
Unfortunately I did not find anything that could help me and guide me
What does the manufacturer (Lyngdorf) have to say about this? If nothing from the mainstream media, at the very least, the former should be able to advise you more on how to get the best out of their product line.
U can set the offset value to 0.
I have written a whole lot is stuff on lyngdorf stuff, in the previous xtremeplace forumā¦ but now know as stereonet. Not sure where to find it anymore, that forum is like so complicated to navigateā¦.
Anyway, let me check and see where I can find that calibration process
See if this above helps?
Above is on boundary woofers
Check out the quick videos to get up to speed
The best method is to make sure subs are placed at all 4 corners of the room, like what DJ has mentioned above, and One more important thing is u need to measure the distance taking into consideration amplifier latency. U can do this if u know how to use REW, it has a feature called āacoustic timing referenceā
But that is one whole big subject on how to use rew
Once u do that, it will sound fanstastic, just need to let RP do the rest.
But if u canāt do that, then measure the physical distance, for subwoofers, after the physical distance, add another 0.7m to the subwoofer distance. Most amplifiers have a 2ms latency. So this will make up for amplifier latency. The measurement of the physical sub distance, should include all the way to the back of the wall where the subs are placed, as it uses the boundary
Hope you can dig outā¦Are you still able to recall the subject title of that thread in XP? I maybe able to help to search for it.
when i set the offset level to 0 the overall volume of the system is very low and i need to turn up the systems volume to allmost -15db to watch movies.
