Demo and catch up at Roni’s

Wow! 2 person confirming this now. Ok ok I go search key word dagger in the hard disk.

Thanks will add that to my list

If you come across one that has good underwater scenes or object placement , do share

I will be looking forward to Godzilla VS Kong underwater fight scene. Hope that doesn’t disappoint

For intensity, cannot beat this…

Yup, couldn’t disagree. In fact for bullets scenes, this is my second favourite , bullets sounds very natural and the score really gives you that intense feeling that “ hurry hurry, faster faster” it’s coming…

Can add in this scene from flight of the pheonix

This is the only movie and scene I can feel air sudden shift in my room. So far no other movies has this weird feel. I remember when I had the crowson , the sudden shift is on the seat .Feel great too.

“A quiet place” should be able to show the power of your room quietness especially the ending scene.

Overlord also not bad

This scene is pretty intense! Lol. The last round I played this demo clip was when I was having the ported subs fv15hp, it was way too hot to handle for me… pretty intense… I remember…

Nice clip :muscle:t2::muscle:t2::muscle:t2:

Definitely for dynamic range and room noise floor… best !

The sudden mute of all speakers at the end scene really cool . Can show the importance of low floor noise in a ht setup .

This scene from flight of the phoenix has wow factor too.

This is the best scene experience i had felt at Jason place long time ago…

Nice !

Finished the acoustics now, completed with some carpet tiles I have got. The acoustic part of the story is over now.

Next up, toying and testing AB

BenQ 5700

Vs

JVC X5900

I’ll first do some listening test, pretty satisfied and happy with the sound quality of the entire system including the midbass and ULF. That is all done now , end game for now until maybe sometime 2 years down the road if I decide to do line source AMT… maybe along the way

PJ is something I will be looking to improve/upgrade along the way as well

The unit was kindly loaned to me by Bro Wechnivac

Once I have completed hosting bro Hillviewer, I’ll proceed to test the JVC side by side with the BenQ. The JVCs are known for their black levels. So it will be very interesting.

As always, I’m very frank and direct, if one is better over the other. So if anyone has / owns this, take it with a pinch of salt. That’s just going to be my observations and opinion.

Lighting conditions and screen size etc all same, 1.1 gain. The JVC will be calibrated for SDR and HDR as well. And I’ll get to explore the controls and features too.

Will share along the Way…

For underwater scene , can consider using “underwater” the movie as I think it is one of the better ones to try out .

In fact ,almost the whole movie is like a demo materials . Underwater pressure , good bass , good mixing of 7.1 . Using the original 7.1 also can simulate height sound .

For surround sound , can try " the invisible man" chapter one . The ambience can show the color of the atmos setup .

This scene also can consider as it has the panning effect and utilise height speakers

Once you go high-end, you will never be bothered with DLP-based projector ever again. Be prepared to spend more $$$$$. You have been warned.

Wahhh:scream:. Sounds like really a big gap :skull_and_crossbones::skull_and_crossbones::skull_and_crossbones::skull_and_crossbones:

Just out of curiosity, which screen material did you use for the Sony laser and what gain ?

Ya, this is also one of my favourite thriller movies, quite nice. Intense as well. I recall now

High end pj is good but $$$$😬. After gone through 3 generations of marantz pj, dont think i myself will go this route again unless strike toto😁.

But for bro ronildoq screen size, the next pj should be a lazer pj inorder to have another wow factor .

Matte White with 1.3 gain. Matte White is the best to preserve color neutrality.
