the systems would likely be the same depending on the range where the models line up against one another, with little difference, such as the final picture engine which is proprietary to different marques. this is one challenging part where u need to look at the arrangement of the connection ports one model against another to identify if they’re different.
some like SHARP, will have 2 side connection arrangements that would differentiate itself away from other makes in the market.
It depends on the user I would say, my friend bought a Prism TV (75inch), he likes it and found it super value for money, I on the other hand found it mediocre when i viewed it as far as PQ goes. They should get better in time hopefully, right now I would say you can match the value for money with a HiSense or TCL. The PRISM tvs are cheap for a reason I guess, so don’t expect top performance is all I would say.
Just to share ever since I bought the Prism Google 75" TV together with the Prism 5.1.2 soundbar in my master bedroom, no regrets - 1 remote to control everything from Netflix, Youtube, Sound via arc which the user friendiness is crucial for myself ,my wife, kids to enjoy together. PQ wise is superb for Dramas and Soccer.
For the price for 3 years warranty no brainer out there and also support SG Brand! Very happy Prism user here
Of course Movie wise for dark scenes " corner white lights bleak" and deep darks is not there.
PS : The TV build in speakers is too soft cmi , soundbar wise totally own it. Much louder SQ with decent bedroom bass ( there’s a wireless sub bundled)
1 cent 1 worth out there .
deep dark can be achieved thru adjustments.
my $1500~1600 HiSense can do it, i don’t see how other cheaper makes can’t.
most TVs in the market have somekind of dynamic range suppression level engaged to prevent blowing off of the drivers, or building cracks on panel to those which have dedicated subwoofer installed on the back of the panel where air and pressure build up in the vibration can contribute to that.
our TV Audio broadcast is kind of suppressed as well, probably for broadcast delivery quality… however thru personal experience, when Dolby Virtual Atmos is engaged, some part of details or lows can be restored, but still controlled.
eventually for the best of audio experience, a connection of audio output either thru optical to deliver PCM5.1 or eARC to deliver formats higher than 5.1 thru HDMI to soundbars or AVR+Spkrs setup is required to get the best “full blown” frequencies and effects.
just when we’re scratching our heads how to get the 100inch TV delivered up to our apartments due to the size…
…TCL had developed their 115inch MEG that would make Jason Statham more bald on how to bring up to his apartment without engaging crane liftup service!
Bloody hell 5000NITS???
waiting for China reviewers to confirm, are those claimed figures came from cannon fairies or real examination results.
from TCL’s marketing graphics material…
…the measurement of the unit @ the bottom…

…that is one real challenge to tackle on delivery, when package size is yet to be added in.
Might as well just get a projector. Until it becomes modular (assembled the parts on the site) and at a relatively affordable price. It is not going to be practical in terms of transport cost, logistical woes and end user support in the long run.
undeniably, UST projector+ALR combo is much more economical and less hassle than such mega-sized display that breaks the 100’ barrier.
98" makes are selling well and the USTP+ALR combo could easily achieve that kind of size… but why are there still demands for such big size display? something gotta be there that is meddling with buyers mind…
There is an easy answer to this. True Dolby Vision with a comparable nits (brightness) to take full advantage.
well… this explains!
as outrageous the price and hassle it may be, why there would be buyers to go for bigger, integrated, one body display, stable picture qualities matters… even if the price and hassle will wipe one’s saving account clean.
yup… i posted my experience with the 85inch display in the TCL thread of this section.
currently on display only… and it’s really bright! if u’re bring ur kids to COMEX, make sure they don’t stand too near to prevent their eyes getting “glared” by the brightness… which we as adults can take.
Where to get 85 inch TCL tvs by the way? All their vendors listed in TCL Singapore website only sell up till 75inch models, Shopee, Laz Mall, Robinsons etc
depending on the specs… they’re currently clearing their “oldest” model 85P735 @Comex @$2450 if I’m not wrong.
Interested in x955 or c955 85”
the C955 or X955 recently just announced, is supposedly to be production year for 2024 release, considering that C#4# and X#4#(which supposedly to be) was launched globally not just too long ago.
