Marantz 50 or onkyo t rz 50

Hello…my marantz died which who you recommend?
Budget abt 2k.

RZ50…

hmmm tough decision… @$300 difference.

ONKYO gets u one more year of warranty coverage, while…

…Marantz get’s u in x-change, Auro3D experience.

If you want to get Dirac Live on the Cinema 50, it’ll cost additional US$350.

Onkyo has more “oomph” for HT. But has only 2 sub-outs (not independant).
Marantz has 4 indenpendant sub-outs. Probably (not sure) better for music.

If you choose Marantz, go for 8805. It was a flagship model 13.2 channels pre-amp and processor with Heos built-in otherwise go for Onkyo.

Onkyo cheaper now got sale till may abt 1.7k but seem quite old 2021 release.
Marantz seem new judt last year. Price sbt 2k

Dilemma!

the Marantz Cinema60 falls under $2k now…

…but it’s just $100 shy from $2k.
if TS not playing pre-pro setup, the “closely spec’ed” Denon x2800H should be able to save u additional blue bills.

something odd here…

…from the screengrab of AlphaAudio’s listing of RZ50, there’s a short of alternate zone2 amplification? SG’s RZ50 different from U.S. specs?
anyway, considering that both PIONEER LX505 and ONKYO RZ50 are almost the same in features and performance but different on the frontal layout, PIONEER’s LX505 is currently selling @ $2.1k w/1yr warranty, while ONKYO’s is $2.1k w/2yr warranty…

…PIONEER may qualify as an alternate choice to battle the Marantz. but with the difference on extended warranty, wouldn’t the ONKYO turns to be a no-brainer choice? how come HweeSeng, the distributor for both brands, didn’t take action to make both brands “attractive” with warranty package?
