Just finished watching The Black Widow. I didn’t have high expectations for this movie but turn out to be pleasantly surprised. David Harbour as the Red Guardian was great and so is Florence Pugh as Yelena. Didn’t expect the Taskmaster character to be something else…Great HDR and Atmos effect to boot on the Disney Plus. This is a fitting movie akin to a swan song for the Black Widow. In a recent interview, the female director seems to hint at a sequel to The Black Widow but whether it will materialize is another thing. This is a Marvel movie with a simple story plot…find the Red Room, freed the “widows”, and kill the “widowmaker”…all in one package. Oh yes, there is an end-credit scene…and a very touching one too - a final resting place with her “real” mother.
