What is “Confusing Now” is why the Aida64 reporting that the Sony Z9K is a 4K resolution!!
It’s supposed to be a 8K resolution!!
Weird…I even tried to playback some 8K resolution “YouTube Videos” and it cannot go more than 4K resolution in the choice to choose resolution…
a logical way to see “for answer” will be…
…as explained on Chapter 7 of this clip, the 8K processing/upscaling is done by the SONY-XR picture engine(processor). what the MT5896 do is just decoding the video signal data, the rest of the jobs is done by secondary stage that’s not detectable by AiDA64.
does AiDA64 detect the make of the panel? maybe probably from the detected ID of the panel, we can search around whether the panel is “natively” 8K?
its a MT5895 buddy… Aida64 doesnt provide the ID of the panel, sadly…
the MTK T51P is the same SoC used in TCL’s system!
awww… i didn’t realize that until the Taiwanese review leaks on MT5889 that relates to MT9615…
for YT translate English subs, use your computer browser, by turning on the default mandarin subs, then go to settings for translation.
Okie, my neighbour got stung by coming over to my house to view my 2 new TV’s, and ended up buying the Latest Sony 85inch XR-X95L from"Best Denki Takashimaya" today…
I followed him there, and asked the salesman to install the “Aida64” APK so that I could have a look at the chipset and soc…
To my surprise, it uses the same chipset and soc as the year 2022 “K” models which I bought…
See the picture’s below…
And behind this set was a “Display/Demo” set of the Sony 85inch XR-Z9J which is the year 2021 8K resolution set…
That 8K resolution tv also uses the same chipset and soc!!!
And for the Z9J, the panel resolution shows up as 3840 x 2160, with 26 / 26 dpi too!!!
Just the same like my year 2022 Z9K!!
I don’t know if this “Aida64” APK is really reporting the real spec’s…
Weird…
i would not be surprised… for SONY to go conservatively, stable way by relying on old system builds, but renamed “BIOS I.D.”
all these Sony sets are using “MT5895”
Anyway the “Display/Demo” set of the 85inch XR-Z9J is being sold at SGD10000.
yes… but if u’ve noticed, ur X95K named as VH21, BestDenki’s X95L named as VH22.
Yup… Wonder what’s with these VH21 and VH22…
typical way to “fool” customers that they’re getting new systems on new products.
this is why, i think i’ve mentioned before, to judge whether the price we pay worth every single cents we spent, we ought to dwell deep into the internal details rather than “aesthetics”.
Yup… Anyone with a google tv and would like to install this “Aida64” APK?
Then can see and share these little details…
Care n Share gentleman…
AiDA64 seems to be only communicate with the SoC for details, but not the panel. so… if the engineers “programmed” the system to tell the user of AiDA64 what the system detail is… it’ll be shown what it is?
And while i was there at “Best Denki Takashimaya” a LG 97inch M3 OLED was brought in for the “First SG Customer in Singapore”!!
the Carton box was bloody huge!!!
Asked the salesman how much was it? n he replied it was SGD33000. a pretty good price if u ask me as in USA its being sold at USD$29999!!
LG 2023 97" 83" & 77" Wireless M3 Signature Series OLED TV - Value Electronics.
probably a fair competition between 2 Pentonic SoC systems…
…where one with Pentonic 1000 comes with typical FALD, and the other with “advance” miniLED backlight comes with Pentonic 700.
the PHILIPS 85PUS8808 after discount, will likely be $500 lesser than HiSense 85U7K.
