2020, the year in review

Last year was a tough one. The good, the bad and the ugly. Donning masks and safety measures in place…Witnessing many businesses winding up and retrenchment on the rise. Government drew out the reserves to keep individuals and businesses afloat to ride out the Covid-19 storm.

In retrospect, is there anything that you have done to make life a little easier and enjoyable? With phase 3 opening up and vaccines slowly reaching to the populace. Do you think Singapore and the world in general will ride out the storm and return to normalcy in 2021? If so, when do you think will happen? Love to hear your thoughts.

The new norm will be here for a while more. Mask wearing, contract tracing, the capacity limitation etc. will be our new way of life.

Life is indeed slower during the pandemic. Places are less crowded, the pace is much slower. Better work-life balance, can spend more time with family.

My perspective is that the first half of 2021 maybe worse compared to 2020 due to the effect of the aftermath and the domino effect. The economy should turn around later part of 2021. The aviation and tourism industry will see a huge spike once the dust settled down.
